Immigrants, unauthorized immigrants, and irregular non-UE foreign workers in Italy (1990 - 2002)

This dataset has been constructed collecting data concerning non-UE migrants´ presence in Italy provided by the main institutional sources (ISTAT, Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Labour, INPS, Union of Chamber of Commerce).

Four areas are considered:
1) regular non-UE immigrants;
2) unauthorized non-UE immigrants;
3) non-UE foreign workers (regular and irregular);
4) judicial statistics concerning non-UE immigrants.

Data are disaggregated by province and region - and in some cases by nationality of the immigrants - and cover a span of almost ten years, from the early 90s to 2001/2002. A complete description of the contents of the tables is provided in the file below ("Tables Description").

FRDB wants to keep track of users of this database as well as of publications based on these data. For this reason, FRDB requires users to register to obtain access to this database. Please contact FRDB for registration and passwords.
