IZA (Institute for the Study of Labor, Bonn) is performing a study at the European level (whose final report will be presented at the European Commission) which aims at investigating the welfare access for migrants and the causes that restrict it. Fondazione Ing. Rodolfo Debenedetti, together with IZA and Università Bocconi, has organized the workshop on the situation in Italy whose analysis has been performed by Michele Pellizzari.

This event has been held at Bocconi University: Anna Kim (IZA) and Martin Kahanec (IZA and CEU, Budapest) have presented the project and the results obtained so far, while Michele Pellizzari (Fondazione Ing. Rodolfo Debenedetti and Università Bocconi) has discussed the Italian case. The final round table was chaired by Tito Boeri (Fondazione Ing. Rodolfo Debenedetti and Università Bocconi): Francesco Daveri (Università di Parma and IGIER) and Gian Antonio Stella (Corriere della Sera) took part in it.
