Immigration Policy and the Welfare System
June 2002
Edited by Tito Boeri, Gordon Hanson and Barry McCormick
Oxford University Press
The book, sponsored jointly by the Fondazione Ing. Rodolfo Debenedetti and The William Davidson Institute at the University of Michigan, offers a balanced and pragmatic view of the problems associated with international migration. It assemples the contributions from two teams of leading scholars in the field. The two studies were originally prepared for the III European Conference of the Fondazione Debenedetti in Trieste in June 2001. Part One focuses on Europe, while Part Two draws entirely on the US experience.
The Italian version “Immigrazione e Stato Sociale in Europa“, edited by Università Bocconi Editore, is also available.
