The Italian edition of the the X European Conference book has been recently published by Università Bocconi Editore with the title "Classe Dirigente. L'Intreccio tra Business e Politica". The book collects the reports presented during the Conference held in Gaeta in May 2008. This original contribution, which highlights the strong link between politics and business in Italy, deepens hot and interesting topics such as élites' selction mechanisms, politicians' incentives and incomes. Andrea Prat, Antonio Merlo, Oriana Bandiera, Vincenzo Galasso, Luigi Guiso, Massimiliano Landi, Andrea Mattozzi and Raffaella Sadun are the authors of the reports. Giuliano Amato, Vittorio Colao, Lucrezia Reichelin and Luigi Zingales discuss their contributions.

Presentations of the book

The book was presented on June 21st in Rome at Centro Studi Americani, with the participation of Giuliano Amato (Istituto Universitario Europeo, Fiesole) and Antonio Leone (Vice President, Camera dei Deputati). The volume was also presented in Rome on October 15th at Camera dei Deputati (the programme of the event can be downloaded below) in occasion of the event "Il volume della democrazia" and in Milan on October 18th at Bocconi University.
The book was presented at "LUISS Guido Carli" in Rome on December 16th (Viale Romania 32, Room Silvano Toti, ore 15.30) with the participation of Carlo De Benedetti, Luigi Guiso, Pier Luigi Celli and Gian Maria Gros-Pietro.
